Enjoying the scenery

We’re grateful for all your cards and offers of support. It’s all just a bit overwhelming but very appreciated. Evie has graciously volunteered to coordinate everyone’s efforts. Let her know what you are planning at eviesoucie@yahoo.com

We've received loads of beautiful, inspirational cards, and even a few cards with frogs or cats (always appropriate). There were also several with humor too bawdy to post. Here’s a sampling of your cleaner humor.

Best Easter message:

Best Medical humor:

The professor says to the medical student:
“Ok, that was pretty good. Still, we don’t actually say ‘ka-ching!’ when we meet a new patient.”

Most appropriate humor for Texans:

A card with a pop-up rodeo bull rider that rocks back and forth and the caption:
“You put up with a lot of BULL, and sometimes the best you can do is hold on.”

From someone who knows me too well:

A card with the cutest-looking teddy bear on the front saying:
Cuddly-Wuddly Bear wants you to cheer up!
Inside: Kinda makes you wanna squeeze Cuddly-Wuddly Bear’s little neck
until his itsy-witsy button eyes pop off, doesn’t it?

We got three new books that also look promising:
I couldn’t get around to these this week. Holy Week and all. I was side-tracked by a great new graphic novel ("cartoon drawings") of the gospel of Mark. It’s meant for a teen audience but it’s outrageous!

Thanks for joining us on this detour. You’re making the scenery much more attractive and much funnier.
